The San Francisco Bay area of California has many sights and marinas that attract visitors and boaters from near and far. One marina on Richardson Bay, north of the Golden Gate Bridge, has chosen single-source marina constructor Bellingham Marine to update and enhance its facilities.
Pelican Harbor, in Sausalito, California, will soon boast a completely rebuilt wood dock system. In order to disturb existing tenants as little as possible during construction, Bellingham will perform the work in phases. The new docks will replace 90 existing wood docks and feature Parallam beam construction and Port Orford cedar decking, all set on steel piling. Two new aluminum gangways will provide access and pumpout hydrants will be strategically located every few slips.
Pelican Harbor is one of several marinas in the quiet bay town of Sausalito and enjoys the business of many tourists during the summer months. The town is home to a mix of boaters and high-end homeowners throughout the hillsides.
