Most mariners recognize Savage as one of the most famous names in yacht racing and boatbuilding. Recently developed on the Savage family’s 80-year-old site near Melbourne, Australia, Savages Wharf features a marina built by another well-known name—Bellingham Marine.
Constructed with Bellingham’s Unifloat dock system, the marina consists of 45 slips that can accommodate vessels from 12.2 m to 30.5 m. Savages Wharf is the only commercial marina operating on Port Phillip Bay that offers a one-stop service facility, including a 36.3-tonne straddle carrier, keel pits and open and covered maintenance storage.
After building 250,000 boats over its 107-year history, Savage is well qualified to handle repairs, rebuilds, refits and new-boat needs. Guests at the marina’s private clubhouse can view Melbourne’s skyline over Hobson’s Bay. Private bathrooms, business facilities and inside and outside dining and entertaining are also available
As the world’s leading marina design/build construction company, Bellingham Marine produces Unifloat saltwater systems, Unideck freshwater systems and Unistack dry storage systems for marinas worldwide.
