Bellingham Marine has appointed Kevin Thompson as its next President of US Operations. Thompson’s appointment in December follows the presidency of Joe Ueberroth, who also served as CEO. Ueberroth will remain Chairman of the Board at Bellingham as Thompson takes on the role and responsibilities of BMI-US.
Ueberroth states, “I am confident that under Kevin’s guidance, Bellingham Marine will continue to lead our industry in innovation, efficiency, and quality. Our customers as well as our teammates will greatly benefit from his leadership.”
With a new President, Bellingham Marine will also establish its new Headquarters transitioning operations from Newport Beach, California to its flagship plant location in Jacksonville, Florida. The southeast US, specifically Florida, is home to the premier US coastal boat market. Jacksonville is strategically located to support clients and boaters. It also provides a great opportunity to attract and retain team members.
Thompson joined Bellingham Marine in 2008. During his 15 years with the company, his positions have included various leadership roles such as project management, general management, and most recently, Chief of Operations.
