Bellingham Marine is a marina construction company that designs, manufactures and builds complete marinas: new marinas, marina expansions and full marina rebuilds. We have built on the water since 1928 and have supplied floating dock systems since the late 1950s, so one team can take your project from the first slip layout to the day the boats move in.

Marina construction services

• Pre-construction – slip layout optimization, preliminary structural calculations, financial proforma analysis, site investigation and permitting support.
• Design/build – one contract for design and construction, the best option for reducing costs and meeting tight deadlines.
• General contracting and construction management – licensed, insured and fully bondable, with in-house design and engineering and experience in regulatory permitting.
• Product supply – floating docks and components manufactured in our own plants for owners and contractors.
• After-market care – repairs, upgrades and replacement parts that extend the life of an existing marina.

Floating dock systems for every site

There is no one-size-fits-all marina. Water depth, wave climate, boat sizes and budget decide which system gives the best value, so we build with a full range of products:

• Concrete floating docks – the Unifloat® (waler-connected) and Unibolt® (bolted) systems, engineered for a service life of 50+ years.
• Unideck® frame docks in steel, aluminum or timber for protected and fresh water.
• Floating wave attenuators to create calm water where a fixed breakwater is not practical.
• Floating platforms for landings, ferries, events and other floating structures.
• Unistack® dry stack boat storage and precast concrete products.

New marinas, expansions and rebuilds

New marina construction: we plan the basin and slip mix with you, then manufacture and install the docks, gangways, utilities and wave protection. Marina expansions: new docks are designed to match the existing marina and can be built in phases. Marina rebuilds: aging docks can be replaced in phases to spread the work and cost – the Alamitos Bay Marina rebuild in Long Beach, California was completed in phases.
