Bellingham Marine performed as the design/build general contractor. Responsibilities included electrical and fire utilities, potable water, two new aluminum gangways, steel piling, regulatory and building permits, a floating harbormaster building, a swim platform and walkway lighting. Balboa Bay Marina is a must stop for yachting in Newport Beach.
Project overview
The Balboa Bay Club Marina is part of The Balboa Bay Club Resort and Spa in Newport Beach, California. Bellingham Marine was contracted to complete its floating dock system as a turnkey job.
- Dock A was replaced with 16 new concrete slips from 86 to 98 ft long.
- In total the marina has 144 Unifloat® slips from 25 to 100 ft.
- Scope included electrical and fire utilities, potable water, two aluminum gangways, steel piling, all permits, a floating harbormaster building, a swim platform and walkway lighting.
- Power pedestals sit halfway down each finger because the megayachts dock bow-first.
