Description

Seldom has a marina offered a more ground-breaking design than superyacht marina Port Forum. The marina was created by the confluence of vigorous civic planning and redevelopment, international diplomacy, and rising demand for moorage, especially for larger vessels.

By far the most visible and exciting part of Port Forum is the superyacht moorage in the outer basin. Visitors can stand on the pedestrian overpass that spans the passage between inner and outer basins and view a solid rank of slips for 33 superyachts with their bows pointing out to sea.

Project overview

Port Forum Marina sits at the Forum venue on the Barcelona waterfront in Spain. Premia Marinas of Barcelona contracted Bellingham Marine Europe to design and build a Unifloat® concrete floating dock system as a turnkey project, starting in July 2004.

  • 190 slips in two basins, from 10 m to 80 m.
  • A dry stack storage building for 250 boats.
  • Electricity, potable water, sewer pump-out, lighting and aluminum gangways supplied by Bellingham.
  • Slips were handed over in phases so sales could proceed as work progressed.
