Project overview
Bellingham Marine was contracted in May 2016 to retrofit Port Macquarie Marina’s existing C-arm in New South Wales, Australia, with modern pontoons, services and technology, and to build a new 14-berth D-arm.
- C-arm was treated as repair and maintenance, so work started straight away.
- Approval for the new D-arm only came through in late October 2016. Bellingham re-cast the pontoons at its Brisbane plant and installed them before Christmas – about six weeks of construction.
- The marina stayed open for the busy summer season, and the 14 new berths added revenue straight away.
