As part of the recent development of downtown Ft. Meyers, Florida, Centennial Harbour Marina now offers services to permanent and transient boaters. The marina project, completed by Bellingham Marine, is located on the Caloosahatchee River, which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The marina’s developers are Heywood C. Sullivan, former owner of the Boston Red Sox, and Mikhail Baryshnikov, famous dance artist. Giving credit to the mayor, council members and several key citizens of Ft. Meyers, Sullivan said, “These efforts help to renew the city’s beauty and increase attraction to its downtown waterfront.”

Featuring Bellingham’s patented Unifloat moorage, the marina includes 49 slips that accommodate boats from 50′ to over 100′. The concrete docks use encapsulated foam flotation to resist deterioration. A 1,200′ wave attenuator, using the same materials and design, protects the harbor from debris and wave action. A dock box at each slip provides complete utility services, including electrical, pump out and fire equipment.

Sullivan and Baryshnikov plan to enhance the area’s appeal even further with shoreside development that may include a hotel complex or condominiums.
